Before launching the product on the market by the Vetrisol company, it was tested by an independent specialized department of the Institute of Parasitology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. In all their experiments, its ability to incapacitate a tick, to immobilize and kill it without emptying the bowel contents and then to safely remove it was fully confirmed.
It is easy with our product! Remove it from anywhere, quickly and safely.
Its unique formula is based on findings related to the risks arising from the removal of ticks. The product covers the whole issue of fast and safe removal of ticks. It immobilizes and kills a tick and dries and hardens it, and disinfects the wound, which enables the safe removal of the tick.
The fundamental effect of the product is the instant incapacitation of a tick without causing any defensive reaction. A tick has no time to intensify salivation or to vomit the contents of its bowels into the wound. This prevents the transmission of infection when removing ticks.
Another effect achieved by the product is the distortion and softening of the so-called cement layer that forms around hypostome (tick proboscis) and which ticks use to keep itself firmly in the wound.
The final effect is to reliably kill a tick and to harden it at the same time to the extent that it is subsequently possible to remove it easily and safely.
Apply a drop of the product on a tick in a way to cover it completely. After partial drying of the product (after about 5 minutes), it is possible to remove the drop even with the killed tick by means of the enclosed tweezers. After removing the tick, it is suitable to apply another drop to disinfect the wound.
There are still opinions that it is good to rub a tick with something greasy and to unscrew it – these are not only wrong but also harmful. A tick holds to the wound with hypostome, which is its sucking apparatus in the shape of a thorn with rear teeth, so it is meaningless to spin a tick. More appropriate, and now recommended, is to remove a tick by wobbling it from side to side. Not even this method of removing eliminates the risk of the irritation of the tick and starting its defensive mechanism. This leads to emptying the potentially infectious tick gut contents into its mouth apparatus and to the wound on the body of the host, which can cause infection. Lubricating a tick leads to its slow suffocation to which a tick responds again with emptying the contents of its intestines into the wound.
Besides other illnesses, a tick can carry particularly two serious diseases - Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis (infectious inflammation of the brain). While tick-borne encephalitis can be successfully prevented by means of a preventive vaccine, similar protection against Lyme borreliosis is still missing. The only prevention is to attempt to prevent a tick bite by suitable garment and repellents. In case of a bite, the most important is a timely removal; and if symptoms appear, to start a treatment immediately.
